- Superb sound quality
This lavalier microphone is designed for the reliability and quality demands of professional use. The 3.5 mm mini plug supports plug-in power for wide compatibility, along with a capsule made for clear voice pick-up.
RELIABLE IN ANY SITUATION
Use the screw-lock connector with any compatible transmitter to prevent accidental detachment and protect your recordings from unwanted popping sounds, with the included metal and fur-type windscreens.
SUPERB SOUND QUALITY
Achieve outstanding audio quality that meets the industry’s highest standards. The ceramic electrode plate provides quick response and high-resolution sound, while oxygen-free copper cabling reduces transmission loss.
HIGHLY DURABLE
The microphone capsule is protected by a robust brass housing that is resistant to deformation and damage, while the 2.2mm thick cable is designed to withstand bending and tensile stress.
VERSATILE PLUG-IN POWER
Plug-in power support allows connection to a wide range of devices with a 3.5 mm plug-in power microphone jack, including cameras, wireless receivers, IC recorders, and smartphones equipped with the appropriate port, as well as other devices.
Technology that supports clear, high-quality sound
Ceramic back plate for high sound quality
The high rigidity and excellent damping properties of the ceramic back plate ensure superb acoustic properties as well as providing strong electrical stability for low-noise recording under a range of conditions.
Machined brass exterior provides clear, crisp sound
The microphone capsule is enclosed in a machined brass exterior to suppress unwanted extraneous resonances and provide a clear, crisp sound.
OFC cable for reduced transmission losses
The high-purity OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) cable reduces transmission losses and protects the high sound quality of the recorded audio.
High reliability for recording confidence
Robust exterior housing
The microphone capsule is enclosed in the highly robust external brass housing that resists deformation and protects the microphone from damage even under the rigours of on-location use.
Durable and reliable cable with locking ring
The 2-core shielded cable suppresses extraneous noise, and its 2.2 mm diameter makes it resistant to breakage. A locking ring prevents accidental disconnection from the recording equipment.
Choose from two types of included wind screens
The included metal and fur wind screens are switchable according to usage and environment. The metal screen is more visually discreet for situations when the microphone needs to be inconspicuous, while the fur screen is better adapted to reducing outdoor wind noise and interference from pop noise.
Unobtrusive design
In addition to the compact size of the body, the logo on the clip is embossed instead of printed, resulting in a design that is elegant but unobtrusive when shooting. It is also ideal for business-oriented video recording.
Plug-in power provides wide connectivity
With a 3.5 mm mini plug providing plug-in power support, the ECM-L1 is designed for an extensive range of uses, including direct connection to α™ cameras or wireless microphone transmitters, letting you clearly capture the speaker's voice on your preferred device without visually obtrusive audio equipment.
Connects to a wide range of non-camera devices
Since it can be connected to a microphone input terminal that supports general plug-in power, this unit can be used with a wide range of devices including IC recorders and smartphones. Higher-quality sound can be recorded by capturing the voice closer to the mouth with this high-performance microphone than by using the device's built-in microphone.
