With incredible performance in both photo and video capture and stunning lightweight mobility, the sleek matte black LUMIX S5 II X is designed to fulfil the demands of the most ambitious creators while representing exceptional value for money.
Both the S5 II and S5 II X are built around a newly developed 24-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor and imaging engine. The sensor supports Hybrid Phase Detection Auto-Focus, a first for LUMIX cameras, while the new engine provides superb image quality and high bit-rate video performance on a par with the LUMIX S1H.
With a new imaging engine developed within the L2 Technology partnership formed by LEICA and LUMIX, and a new 24-megapixel sensor, the LUMIX S5II and S5IIX are the first LUMIX cameras to offer Hybrid Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF).
The new engine also gives the LUMIX S5IIX and S5II enhanced video recording capabilities including internal 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30fps and 4:2:2 C4K and 4K at up to 60fps, while a new low-profile heat management system allows for unlimited recording times without increasing the size of the camera body. The cameras also support HFR (High Frame Rate) recording at up to 120fps and Slow & Quick capture at up to 180fps.

A higher grade of visual expression
With the LUMIX S5IIX, recording and playback is supported using an external SSD via USB. In addition, the ability to record ProRes 422 HQ (maximum 1.9Gbps) and 4:2:2 10-bit All-Intra directly to SSDs, which combine portability and high capacity has improved efficiency in data backup and post-processing.

Choose your favorite streaming approach to share your latest in real time! For outdoor use, wireless live streaming (RTMP/RTMPS) is easy to set up with the LUMIX Sync app. For indoor use, highly stable wired live streaming (RTP/RTSP) is also available.

New Active I.S. lets you walk and shoot at the same time. By determining the status of camera shake and optimizing correction ratios, Active I.S. can compensate for even significant camera shake, approximately 200%* more than conventional systems.

4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p unlimited recording time.* With a compact body equivalent to the S5, the LUMIX S5IIX’s new optimized heat dissipation structure enables extended recording even when shooting at heavy loads (e.g. high-resolution video over 4K, HFR video).
*The camera may stop recording when used in a temperature that is lower or higher than the recommended operating temperature (0 to 40 degrees). Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 30 minutes in [6K/29.97p] [6K/25.00p] [5.9K/29.97p] [5.9K/25.00p] when Thermal Management mode is set to Standard.
